MA R2R Movement Gains Speed and Horsepower

After an impressive show of strength in its first legislative session, the Right to Repair movement in Massachusetts has picked up speed and even more impressive partners as it prepares for the next legislative session. The Massachusetts R2R Coalition now includes the New England Service Station Automotive Repair Association, the Massachusetts Auto Body Association, the Massachusetts Independent Automobile Dealers Association and The New England Tire & Service Association.

The R2R bill, which seeks the equitable sharing of automotive repair information for all independent repairers, remains on the House calendar awaiting action after winning support from key legislative committees. Coalition members represent more than 1,500 independent repair shops in Massachusetts as well as related automotive parts businesses in Massachusetts.
